Colloquium in honour of Prof. Heinz Maier-Leibnitz' 100th birthday
- Prof. Dr. Heinz Maier-Leibnitz would have turned 100 on March 28th.
On the occasion of his 100th birthday on March 28th 2011, the great physicist and co-founder of the physics department of the Technische Universität München, Prof. Dr. Heinz Maier-Leibnitz († 2000), will be honoured with a colloquium. The neutron source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz and the accelerator Maier-Leibnitz, two scientific institutes of the TUM, chair the colloquium. Among the guests are the Bavarian Minister for Science, Dr. Wolfgang Heubisch, the President of the German Research Foundation, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Kleiner and the President of the TUM Prof. Dr. Dr. hc. Wolfgang A. Herrmann. Talks will be held in German (with one exception).
The event takes place on Monday, March 28th, in the lecture hall 1 of the physics department, James-Franck-Str. 1, 85748 Garching, and is planned from 10 to 14.30h.
