7th reactor cycle successfully ended
On July, 15th the reactor was shutdown after 52 days of successful operation.
With the end of the 7th reactor cycle the long 6-week service period has started.
This service period will be used for many routine checks, maintenance work and the change of the fuel element. First parts of the semi-automatic silicon doping facility will be installed. For the scientific part, a major task is the removal of further instruments from the FZ Jülich to Munich and the construction of new neutron guides.
