In the evening of 14. June 2005 FRM-II had to shutdown due to a current interruption in the electricity network in the Garching region. This current interruption was caused by a thunderstorm. Whereas the current came back after a few seconds, restarting of FRM-II had to wait some 40 hours due to the Xenon build up in the core. On 16. June FRM-II has been restarted and our national and international users continue their experiments at full power since the evening of 16. June 2005. The second operation cycle will be prolongated accordingly to 28.6.2005 16:00.
