Film about FRM II

Wissenschaft, Aktuell | 20.01.2009

With the "Exzellenzinitiative" the DFG (German Research association) starts a videoportal about the funded "Exzellenzcluster". A film about the Munich Cluster "Origin and Structure of the Universe" can also be watched.

Prof. Peter Fierlinger, head of the group "fundamental physics with neutrons", explains in the five-minutes clip his experiments with ultracold neutrons at the FRM II. It will tell more about the origin of the universe.

The video was mainly produced at the neutron source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz and shows the neutron hall, the new east building and the atomic egg.
