Physicists at the neutron source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) had a glance into a Roman god. They found, that the figurine is hollow.

The FRM II was granted 1.1 million Euro from the 7th EU framework programme. Including with the amount, that the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) has received, it is in total 2.2 million Euros.

Physicists from the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the University of Cologne have discovered at FRM II a new type of magnetic ordering in the metallic compound manganese silicon.
