  5. German Neutronen Scattering Conference 2008

German Neutronen Scattering Conference 2008

Garching 15.-17. September 2008

Komitee Forschung mit Neutronen

in collaboration with

Section: "Research with Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation" (NESY) of the Austrian Physical Society

We kindly invite you to join the 8. German Neutron Scattering Conference which will take place from the 15.-17. September 2008 at the Technische Universität München in Garching. Starting in the year 1995, the first conference took place in Lüneburg, followed by Kloster Seeon in 1997 (in collaboration with the synchrotron conference), 1999 in Potsdam, 2001 in Jülich, 2002 in Bonn, 2004 in Dresden and at last 2006 in Hamburg (together with synchrotron and ions). Every two years, in between the 2 large european (ECNS) and international (ICNS) neutron scattering conferences, the German neutron scattering conference provides the opportunity to present topical research with neutrons and to gather information about state-of-the-art instruments and methodical developments. Mini-symposia will focus on emerging topics in research using neutrons. General topics will include magnetism, dynamics, soft matter, biology, structure research, geo-science, particle physics, engineering materials science and others. Special intention will be given to contributions dealing with instrument development as well as the development of new methods.

The main language of the conference is Englisch, contributions in German are, however, welcome. The abstracts should be submitted in English.
