Martin Müller: new Chair of the LENS Initiative

The “League of Advanced European Neutron Sources” LENS has elected MLZ Director Prof. Dr. Martin Müller as its new Chair, his deputy is Prof. Dr. Michel Kenzelmann from PSI. They succeed Prof. Dr. Helmut Schober (ILL) and Prof. Dr. Robert McGreevy (ISIS).

Martin Müller heads the Institute of Materials Engineering at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon and is director at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum. He has been a driving force in neutron research for more than 30 years. His task as Chair of LENS: to advance European neutron research through increased cooperation. Prof. Dr. Michel Kenzelmann of the Swiss Paul Scherrer Institute was appointed as Vice Chair at the LENS meeting in Garching, on the sidelines of the European Conference on Neutron Scattering 2023 (ECNS 2023).
